3rd Arabic Skydiving Competition
The Third Arab Parachuting Championship was held concurrently with the 4th Arab Military Parachuting Championship / Amman, Jordan – May 20-28, 2009. The Jordanian Armed Forces organized this championship in an excellent manner.
Drop Zone: The championship began at the drop zone of Al-Jubaihah Club, located 2.5 kilometers from the hotels where the teams and delegation leaders stayed. The arrangement for conducting the championship events was well-organized in terms of air traffic control, with two helicopters on site to ensure continuous jumps. All technical devices, equipment, and administrative arrangements required for the championship were provided at an excellent level. This area was used from May 21-25, 2009.
Due to bad weather at the Al-Jubaihah Club drop zone, a technical meeting was held with the delegation leaders, judges, and the championship director, and it was decided to move the drop zone to the Royal Polo Club in the Zarqa area, 45 kilometers from the hotels where the teams and delegation leaders stayed. This area was used from May 25-27, 2009.
